Residents United Forum is a collective of Newham voluntary and community sector organisations focused on providing a voice for deaf and disabled people in Newham, and their carers. The group regards disability as any disability including mental health, learning disability or difficulty, substance abuse, HIV and hidden disabilities.
The ultimate aim of the group is to create a Centre for Independent Living in Newham and to become registered as a Deaf and Disabled People's Organisation.
Residents United Forum has published their first report about the experiences of disabled people and their carers in Newham. You can read the report here.
The group is in the early stages of development and will in due course be letting people know how to join.
