A number of organisations in Newham, lead by The Renewal Programme, are working together to support Newham residents who are EU Citizens. The Newham EU Settled Status (EUSS) Engagement Project will be working in partnership with community and voluntary organisations to reach EU citizens and their families living in Newham who need to apply to the EU Settlement Scheme before the 30th June to secure their right to continue to live and work in the UK after Brexit.
It is a digital application process, and a digital status, and many Newham residents may struggle to engage with the Scheme because they are not aware of it or they lack the skills and confidence to apply. All community and voluntary groups in Newham can play a role in ensuring Newham residents who are EU citizens get the support they need. An EU Citizen may be a national from a country listed here. They may also be a national from another country who is able to live in the UK because they have an EU passport, for example someone from Bangladesh or Somalia who has an Italian or Belgium passport.

- show you how an application is made.
